I have protein jellies, but I was wondering what else would do the job? I have an abundance of roaches and seeing as they will eat larvae or other beetles, could they eat these aswell?(NOT A STAPLE)

I notice on around half of the larvae there is a V-shape with a faint white dot in the middle on some gideon (a little less prominant than dynastes), is this a reliable way to sex them? or is this somehow something individual to each larva? (ill be selling them so I need to know definitively!)

It has been a very long time since the last generation of females laid their eggs, and today I noticed the log i have been keeping with the adult male dorcus alcides (who is almost 2 years old) had chewed up material inside and plop, 2 very small female larvae fall out of this bone dry log that...

I haven't t checked on them since the 25th of February and today two males have regressed from 50g-19g/dead. There is no sign of black spot disease nor mites and i use the same substrate as i did here on all other species i own, including 2 separate subspecies of hercules which are all healthy...

It is a truly wonderful species, and so far I have had 2 out of 6 larvae die at L2 and the others move onto L3. has anybody managed to rear healthy adults?
