last year i started collecting dried beetles,after much research on relaxing and pinning i ran out of storage room,so i bought a few shadow boxes to display them. my first attempt and the second one i have enough spread to do another then i can relax a bunch more(very addicting..lol) andy

today when we got home from lunch my wife found this grub in our doorway? any clue? cant wait to see what it is,nearly the size of my pinkie. (i would assume capriolus?and will try some wood substrate when i get off of work to see if it feeds) andy

i received quite a few L1 granti grubs from peter two months back, went to feed and change substrate today and cant believe the growth... hoping i get some nice big beetles from them.. thanks for looking andy

being my first grubs i received since being bitten by the beetle addiction,i actually didnt expect these to mature...was very surprised and happy to find some nice healthy beetles when i checked on them this week. so far i have three,these two emerged perfect and one other emerged with extended...

allright i have been into insects since '84,have kept and bred several species of centipede,tarantula ,scorps,and cockroaches.. Have always had a fascination in beetles but have never attempted to keep any,recently acquired a copy of "for the love of rhinocerous and stag beetles"and have been...
