orangestag
I've been looking to get some BDFBs but because don't live there is it illegal to get them? I saw a discussion from 2017 and 2014 and it looked like if they are out of state then the answer is no. Have the rules change? Because I was looking on James' Beetle Farm and the only terms were about shipping, nothing legal related. I know they probably wouldn't live the winter and they wouldn't hurt anything if they got loose but I still want to know if it's legal. Thanks. Ayudrs
From what I understand, moving insects and native animals across state boarders are illegal. But currently the regulations on beetles seems pretty relaxed, and I don't think they are even considered pests, so I doubt anyone will give you any trouble for buying them and getting them shipped over. orangestag
https://pi.cdfa.ca.gov/pqm/manual/pdf/111.pdf I found a post on the forum with this. It says you can ship or import into or within CA all bugs in the Lucanidae family. Also do we just use CA because it's the most regulated state, it's the main port for stuff or did I just see two people use CA laws because they live there and assume it meant something? Ayudrs
You'll find a good amount of beetle enthusiasts in CA, so the latter?
orangestag
ok, because all the legal papers were for CA I hope they are mostly the same other places.
