Dynastes TItyus hunter 0
Is it safe to buy from Titan monster beetle shop? They have some cool beetles but I think they are illegal. Any suggestions?
Bug slayer 0
Yes. It is illegal and I would not recommend it because you could face a very high bill.

BensBeasts1 0
You could order from them legally with permits. Many people have ordered from them here in the US.

scottbot84 0
2 hours ago, Reyes said: I bought from them. Only bought dynastes Tityus which was legal. Without permits it is not legal to import beetles or soil from overseas.

kevink 0
I have spoken with a trader who knew several persons caught importing beetles illegally, fines in excess of 10 thousand and increased scrutiny, along with probation. You'd be better off flying to Asia and sending them to yourself. Some persons feel getting a permit is worth it, I've read the requirements, and wouldn't even try, but that's my feeling about the feds crawling over my house.
BensBeasts1 0
Honestly if you want the US dynastes just wait till spring US beetles and Insectbrothers will have them. Also the overall price for buying from those companies is huge. Once you get your permits you will then have to pay for the beetles which unless your getting bulk (50 or more) its not worth it. The shipping cost would be in the hundreds. And the total would be close to the thousands.
Dynastes TItyus hunter 0
Yeah, I gave up on that a few days ago.
Dynastes TItyus hunter 0
Thanks for all of the suggestions!
kevink 0
Legally importing non-natives is not easy. Many years ago, I had dreams of buying lepidoptera livestock from WorldWide Butterflies in the UK, I looked into import permits. Sure, it was possible. Males in even years, females in odd years. Great. I'm sure it's harder now. Now, we just do it, and assume the risk, but cocoons are much different than beetle stock. But now, with the "new normal" shipping anything is a risk if you want it alive.
