Lucanus Posted August 11, 2012 Author Report Posted August 11, 2012 do they hibernate right after they emerge? Yes. They will stay dormant for couple of months. Quote
Lucanus Posted August 16, 2012 Author Report Posted August 16, 2012 Beautiful beetle you have there Thank you I hate the fact that my camera isn't capturing the colors properly. This species look much prettier in real life Quote
jreidsma Posted August 16, 2012 Report Posted August 16, 2012 Don't cameras do that to everything though Quote
Peter Clausen Posted August 16, 2012 Report Posted August 16, 2012 Things always seem to photograph more nicely outdoors, but your shots look really nice to me. Quote
Lucanus Posted August 16, 2012 Author Report Posted August 16, 2012 Don't cameras do that to everything though The camera that I was using last year (much cheaper one) depicted the color more accurately. It seems that the camera I am using (Nikon P7000) has some problems with color (or maybe I had a wrong setting on my camera. lol) Quote
Lucanus Posted August 16, 2012 Author Report Posted August 16, 2012 Things always seem to photograph more nicely outdoors, but your shots look really nice to me. Thank you I tried to take couple of shot outdoor but I still couldn't get the color right Quote
