Hey guys, I just started my beetle hobby and I just recently got my DHH about 2 weeks ago. I was wondering how often do I need to check on my larva, I check on them once a week through their containers I haven't handled them since I moved them to their individual containers. I had bought substrate from the place I bought my larva along with rotted wood and sphagnum peat moss ( both from another seller) and mixed them up along with the substrate that they came with. I also read about people turning their substrate and I was wondering how would that be benefitable if it's the same substr -

Hi everyone. I just started breeding beetles so I still don't know a lot of things. I heard they hibernate. Is that true? And how can I know they're hibernating? I have 2 males Coelosis Bicornis and a female Heterogomphus. Right now, is a bit cold here, and the beetles don't seen to want to get out of the cage. Actually, don't even get out from the soil, they stay there for days. What could that be? Should I be worried or this is normal? They stay under the soil just because it is cold or they're really hibernating?

Hi again. My beetles (2 male Ox Beetles) are doing fine and I have only one problem: Fruit Flies. How do I get rid of them? I already saw people saying they can lay eggs on the beetles. I don't want to keep killing them so how can I make them stop entering the beetle's cage?
