I would like to buy maybe 20 or so of each but am looking for reasonable prices. Any help or information would be appreciated. Thanks! Dynastes Posted July 27, 2008 Report Share Posted July 27, 2008 I am guessing you are in the USA and are looking for these two native beetles, Dynastes tityus and Odontotaenius disjunctus Carolina has bess beetles at a reasonable price: http://www.carolina.com/product/living+org...e,+pack+of+8.do You may find them cheaper from a collector since they are easy to find in mass numbers in the southeast but finding someone to collect them for you may be impossible. The Eastern Hercules on the other hand is never found in numbers and will always be more expensive (and much, much larger and neater looking) than a bess beetle. There's at least one place that has captive bred specimens from time to time but you'd probably have to stick to one or two pairs, not twenty or so. Good luck!
