I currently keep 4 D. granti grubs and for the most part all seem fine and healthy but just recently a 2nd instar grub has been going to the surface of the soil constantly and just sitting there. When I go to inspect, it is active and will even try to bite only then will it try to burrow back into the substrate. Does anyone have a clue as to what the deal is or has anyone seen this behavior?

It is either unhappy with the substrate or there is something wrong with it.
