Picked up my new nucleus colony today and installed them in their full-sized hive. This is my first time keeping bees; it's been an interest of mine for years, and earlier this year I took a 10-week class with our local beekeepers association.
They were extremely gentle, even though I had a little trouble with the smoker. I didn't spot the queen, but she is marked with a bright yellow spot.
