This decently large beetle singled me out and landed on me. Was flying straight at me, and as I turned, it turned with me so it landed on my back. I have to say that this was a first. 


Took it home to figure out an ID. Figured I would share the couple images I took. Guess I should have taken some with it out of the container.

I let it go outside after figuring out what it was. I can't really keep anything that needs a lot of wood right now anyways, and you can't really breed something when you only have one.

Nice find! I usually find Osmoderma eremicola every year.
