Need help identifying beetle larvae!!

In any case, their morphology is a match for either Rutelinae or Melolonthinae. Since they were found in a log, they are most likely Pelidnota, or some other ruteline (such as Cotalpa), as the larvae of melolonthines are usually (though not always) found in soil.
