  1. Nice to have you, now we just need to figure out how to get your pics to work.

  2. Does anyone know the maximum temp that Flower Beetle grubs can endure? I keep them in an upstairs bedroom so the temp is always high but I recently had to install a steam humidifier due to some free-ranged arachnids. Now the temp is is the mid to upper 90's, depending on the outside tempature. So far they seem fine. Is this safe? Thanks for looking.
  3. Kind of went together. I was into bugs first, just out of being a toddler!!! The stamps started in grade school. I've got lots of other insect stamps, just didn't post them here. Thanks for the reply!!
  4. Found my old stamp collection cleaning at my Mom's house. Pretty cool!!
  5. Hi Orin, Thanks. I actually have a freshly eclosed virgin female. She emerged day before yesterday, that last male yesterday. I guess it was just a lucky pairing that bought out that trait. This is the 4th gen., and never a hint of red. And I only kept a dozen grubs! Kind of strange these males were the last to eclose and also by far the smallest. I'm pretty stoked! Do you think that each mating fertilizes new eggs or are they all fertilized together? Going to be alot of work trying to raise that many grubs. Take care.
  6. This is the final male from this brood and it eclosed with much more red on the elytra. Shows almost metallic when damp, more subdued when dry. Here are wet and dry photos. I've paired both of them with a freshly eclosed (and last!) female with my fingers crossed!
  7. Centonia aurata First Generation from Wild-Caught Russian Stock
  8. Pachnoda marginata perigrina
  9. Thanks Orin! Is it better just to leave them rest until they come out or doesn't it matter?
  10. Anyone have any idea how long C. polyphemus usually remain in their pupal cells after emerging as adults? Thanks!!
