  1. I wish I could trade, but I live in Europe, and I think sending/receiving live specimens to US is not possible.
  2. A couple of red MTU, eclosed these days. These are the first and the smallest specimens, I hope their brothers will be bigger.
  3. These females are laying a lot of eggs. I am curious to see how will be the shape of the horns of the future males. Here's a couple of videos. Xylotrupes siamensis (from Chiang Mai) Xylotrupes socrates female eating
  4. Adults start to eclose. Small beetles, 1-2 cm.
  5. Thanks for the hint! I was trying too to identify the specimen by the location, but.. Endrodi in an 1985 book says in Thailand there is the subspecies Xylotrupes gideon tonkinensis. On the internet I found species names as Xylotrupes gideon siamensis or even Xylotrupes siamensis.
  6. I got some Xylotrupes sp. females from north-eastern Thailand. Anyone can give me help on identifying them and/or have some keys for identifying the various Xylotrupes species? I have also a picture of the males but quite blurry. thanks!
  7. I found a lot of these small grubs inside buffalo manure. North-eastern Thailand. Any ideas on what they can be? Thanks!
  8. My Prosopocoilus savagei couple, bought three weeks ago. When I bought them I did not write down the subspecies.. I hope I'll get some grubs soon.
  9. Hello from Italy, my name is Alessandro and while I do keep some insects -mainly ants- I am new to beetles. I've ordered recently some Pachnoda sp. larvae to make some experience with an easy species.
