Very nice series of photos. And very healthy looking larvae!

This makes me very jealous..

Thanks for sharing. Keep us posted about the larvae's growth - I am curious to see the size of the adults!

I definitely will. These seem like L3 and I'd be surprised if they got any bigger but it's only December.

I've mostly found them at the tree cavity that was at the base of upright trees so you might want to give it a shot if you find one :)

Thanks I will try this. I've been checking in the higher cavities within the tree so maybe that's why I'm not getting any results.
